Common Ground Care Committee
Common Ground’s Care Committee is a new group of volunteer leaders who organize and offer care and support to the Common Ground community during times of need. Each of us comes from a helping profession, and we are honored to support the well-being of our community by offering listening, presence, and practical assistance.
Our offerings may include being a conversation partner or listening ear at Common Ground or another location, visiting community members at home or in a care facility, or meeting virtually with those outside the Twin Cities metro area. We are here to support community members through health challenges, life transitions, grief, and other times when it might be helpful to connect with a dharma friend. We may also be able to help organize support, such as setting up a CaringBridge page or meal train, or connecting people with outside resources.
Community Cares is not a replacement for professional services. We are dharma students who are glad to support our friends on the path in the ways we can.
If you are a Common Ground community member who could use some support, please email info@commongroundmeditation.org, and we will be in touch.
We are also hoping to build a wider network of volunteers who can help with occasional practical tasks, such as making a meal or picking up a prescription for someone. If you would like to be part of Common Ground’s efforts to care for one another in this way, please fill out this form, and we will be in touch.
